Hey there! Welcome to Cosmic Om — my little corner of the internet where I share the mantras and chants that have quietly changed my life.
I started this YouTube channel because I kept coming back to these ancient sounds during the noisy parts of my day. Whether it was stuck in traffic, feeling anxious before a meeting, or just needing a moment of peace — playing a simple Hare Krishna chant or an Om meditation always pulled me back to center. I figured if these sounds helped me, maybe they could help someone else too.
So what is Cosmic Om?
It's a space for anyone who wants to slow down. Here you'll find:
Chanting videos — clean, calming recordings of mantras like the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra, Om Namah Shivaya, and Gayatri Mantra
Instrumental beds — tanpura drones, bansuri melodies, and soft swarmandal textures to play underneath your own practice
Short explainers more info — what each mantra means, where it comes from, and why people have been repeating it for thousands of years
What is this blog for?
Think of this blog as the backstory to every video on the channel. It's where I write about the things I can't fully say in a video description.
Here's what you'll find here:
Video links with context — every new chant video gets a post here with the embed link, so you can watch and read in one place
Mantra meanings — breaking down the Sanskrit copyright so you know exactly what you're chanting
How to use them — tips on when to listen, how to chant along, and what works best for meditation or just background calm
The science and benefits — what actually happens to your brain and body when you chant, the research behind sound frequencies, and why repeating certain syllables has a real calming effect
Uses and side effects — when to chant, how much is too much, and what shifts you might feel physically and emotionally (yes, mantras can stir things up sometimes, and that's okay)
The creative side — how different instruments change the feel of a chant, why I layer certain sounds together, and how you can create your own mantra practice at home
Your stories — I want this to be a two-way street. Drop a comment telling me which mantra worked for you, and I might feature it in a future post
This blog goes hand-in-hand with the channel. Every time I post a new video, I'll drop the link here along with a short write-up. Think of it as a companion guide, not a lecture.
A little about me
I'm not a guru, a priest, or a Sanskrit scholar. I'm just someone who noticed that spending ten minutes with a mantra in the morning made the rest of my day feel lighter. I record these chants in my small home setup, layering vocals with traditional instruments, trying to keep the sound as honest and warm as possible. No overproduction, no flashing lights — just the mantra, clean and clear.
Why I started writing too
Videos are great for listening, but sometimes you want to sit with the copyright a little longer. You want to know what "Hare" actually means, or why the Maha Mantra has sixteen names in a specific order. That's where this blog comes in. I write these posts the same way I'd explain it to a friend over tea — no heavy philosophy, just the heart of it.
If any of this sounds like something you need, stick around. Subscribe to the channel, bookmark this blog, or just drop by when the world feels too loud. There's no pressure here. Just sound, breath, and a little bit of peace.
Thanks for stopping by. See you in the comments.
